wave2wire solutions presented at
IIoT University at Sensors Midwest

September 28, 2016 - Rosemont, IL

OpenSystems Media's Embedded Computing Design coordinated one full day of technical training aimed at designers of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) products and systems. The program consisted of lectures and tutorials ranging from communication protocols and security to predictive maintenance of IIoT platforms. All sessions in the conference were conducted by some the industry's leading experts.

Blue Mountain Microsystems / wave2wire president Michael Darnell hosted one of the sessions entitled "Cellular, Solar, Wireless, and Weather: Developing Reliable Cellular and Other Wireless IIoT Solutions". The session chronicled the technology considerations and best practices needed when developing reliable and secure cellular-based IIoT platforms. The topics covered include platform development considerations when utilizing both cellular and short-range wireless technologies to maximize data collection capabilities while minimizing the cost of connectivity.

The successful day of technical also included sessions by Avnet, the Industrial Internet Consortium, Exosite, Parker Hannifin, and other industry leaders.

Panel discussions were moderated by Rich Nass, EVP/Brand Manager for Embedded/IoT at OpenSystems. "Rich and the entire OpenSystems team did a great job with this event. It was one of the first IIoT events to provide real-world technical training and insight and we hope to participate in similar future events" - Michael Darnell, President Blue Mountain Microsystems / wave2wire.
